10 Years service

A big thankyou and congratulations to our Surveyor/Contracts Manager Jim Millar on his 10 years of service. World War 2 Pillbox

One of last week's projects, carrying out waterproofing to a World War 2 bunker/pillbox at the bottom of a clients garden in Cleveland. Waterproofing Project

Works carried out this week to a basement and garage in Chester-le-Street, Co Durham. We were asked by the client to provide a waterproofing system to deal with any potential water ingress due to the property being built into a hillside. Survey for Insect Infestation

Carried out a survey this week for a customer who had purchased a new table constructed from a newly felled section of timber. All was fine until it was brought home and now literally hundreds of beetles are emerging from the timber. We identified this as Bark Borer Beetle (Ernobius mollis) which affects timbers containing bark and the outer sap rings of timbers. Dry Rot at its destructive best

An inspection carried out by our surveyor Jim Millar showing the damage the Dry Rot fungus can cause if external defects are allowed to occur. Well done to our very own Decklyn Hutchinson who has progressed from a thirteen week work trial with our company to now completing his apprenticeship. He is now a fully qualified plasterer completing his craft City & Guilds Certificate and Advanced Certificate.In his time with our company, he has worked very hard and shown an excellent attitude to work.
